Dear Jodi,
My name is Diane XXXXX and I am writing to you to thank you for the gift of the PCs for Maine Program.
I remember hearing about this program in 2007. I had returned to college and needed a computer to do homework assignments from home. I had started the semester doing my work in the student lounge. This involved hand writing all of my papers and then transferring them to docs ~ very time consuming!
I was so excited to hear I could get help with purchasing a computer. Once I got the computer it made my life more managable. I was able to produce papers, power points, as well as resumes for career placement from the comfort of my own home.
I have earned my AA in Social Services as well as my MHRT/C (Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community) certificate. I am still a part time student earning my BA in Social Science and preparing to take the State of Maine CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) exam. I also hold a full time job as a supervising residential counselor at Harbor Family Services working with adolescent boys with dual diagnosis.
I continue to return to PC Medix for my computer needs because of my experiences with you each time I return. I hope the PCs for Maine Program remains available for others that go through life changes and choose to return to school.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Diane XXXXX
